Delicious
Holiday Recipe
This is not your average applesauce recipe – it is a wonderful
holiday treat! Our client, Carol, passed it onto us and we just love
it!
3 pounds apples (equal amounts of Gala and McIntosh)
1T apple cider vinegar
1/4c water
1/4 tsp allspice (Carol uses a little more)
1 bay leaf
1 and 1/2 tsp sugar
Core apples (you do not need to peel the apples but you can if you
like), quarter and quarter again.
Put in saucepan.
Add rest of ingredients.
Simmer around 1/2 hour.
Stir occasionally & use a wooden spoon.
Remove bay leaf.
“
Smoosh” apples to consistency you prefer.
Serve hot or cold.
